My approach is very personal and friendly. I’ve met far too many people who regret not asking their loved ones questions or getting stories written down. I want to get your precious family memories captured and preserved for your children, grandchildren and future generations. I also want you and your loved ones to feel the benefit that life story work can bring.
I don’t work to a set format as nobody’s life could or should be fitted into a template! I work with my clients to provide a service that is right for them and their families.
I’m the founder of The Memory Book Company and am both a published writer and experienced researcher. I also have a degree in Psychology from Durham University and have taken a course at the Oral History Society. I am a trained creative reminiscence practitioner (after completing a structured apprenticeship in Reminiscence Arts in Dementia Care with the European Reminiscence Network)
I work with Marcus Scott-Taggart, a photographic and publishing technology expert.
If you choose to create a Life Story Book, I’ll be working with you throughout the process. You will therefore have assured continuity, understanding and sensitivity from start to finish.
